OraSure Technologies has named Jack Kenny, former chief executive officer of Meridian Bioscience, to its board of directors.
Kenny led Meridian Bioscience’s turnaround before that company was acquired, according to OraSure.
His initial term on the board ends in 2025.
The Bethlehem-based maker of home diagnostic kits and sample collection devices now has seven board members, including Kenny. OraSure’s products include OraQuick, a test for HIV, and InteliSwab, which tests for COVID-19.
Kenny has also held executive roles at Siemens Healthcare, Beckton Dickinson, Danaher Corp. and Quest Diagnostics.
Shares of OraSure are traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol OSUR. At 9:48 a.m. today (Monday, Sept. 9) the price was $4.15, not far above the 52-week low of $3.92 and less than half of the 52-week high of $8.45.
