Bethlehem’s Zoning Hearing Board will hear two appeals for property uses on Linden Street at its Sept. 25 meeting, though neither project is a warehouse, a big apartment building or a retail strip.
The First Baptist Church at 3235 Linden St. wants to put up a storage building that would cover 2,400 square feet, more than the 1,000 square feet allowed.
Just to the north and across the street at 3376 Linden, Advent Therapy wants to make room for a contractor’s office. Advent will continue to operate but has, since the COVID-19 pandemic, “has had a reduction in the number of its client and employees.”
Advent’s website says the business provides nutrition, occupational, behavioral and other therapies.
The Linden Street site has an indoor pool that is not used, and the contractor wants to use it as office space. Also some vehicles will be parked there, but not heavy-duty construction equipment.
The plan includes a 36 foot by 36 foot (1,296 square feet) pole building.
The property has 23 parking spaces now and will not need more, according to the zoning application.
The Bethlehem Zoning Hearing Board will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25. There are three other land uses on the agenda.
The meeting will also be streamed live for viewing only, not for taking questions. See the agenda link above for details.
Agendas are subject to change.
