LVPC Has a Light Agenda This Week: No Warehouses, But Expansion of Executive Education Academy’s Field House

— Jeff Ward, Lehigh Valley News Briefs

The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission has a light agenda this week, with no new warehouses up for review.

The commission will review an expanded fieldhouse at Executive Education Academy, 555 Union Blvd., Allentown, and a proposed zoning ordinance for Weisenberg Township.

The charter school plans a 982-square-foot addition to its field house to store gym equipment.

That plan and the Weisenberg zoning will be reviewed by the LVPC’s Comprehensive Planning Committee at noon Tuesday, followed by a vote of the full commission at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

See the LVPC website for details.

The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission is an advisory body. It reviews big projects proposed for Lehigh and Northampton counties, zoning changes and other planning issues.

Final decisions are in most cases made by municipalities.

Executive Education is building an empire at taxpayer expense. Costly duplication of existing school facilities is wasteful.
