Easton City Council will consider Wednesday an agreement to sell the old Easton Iron & Metal Scrapyard on Bushkill Drive to a developer for $1.5 million.
The meeting agenda includes, under new business, an agreement to sell the land to Foundry Development LLC for the construction of apartments and commercial space.
City Council will also consider a yard sale of sorts of old equipment. Chain saws, hedge trimmers, a hay wagon, some police gear (nothing lethal), and several vehicles, among them, three Ford F350 trucks and four Ford Interceptor SUVs.
Easton City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 on the third floor City Hall, 123 S. Third St. Agendas are subject to change. Check the city website for updates.
