Bethlehem City Council will review the city’s capital improvement plan on Tuesday.
Capital improvements are long-term expenses. The city includes vehicles in the plan, including ambulances.
The plan posted on the city’s website recommends replacing one ambulance each year to keep a fleet of eight ready. Replacing one fire vehicle every other year is also part of the plan, along with getting five to seven new police vehicles annually. The police also need a replacement armored vehicle, according to the plan.
The proposal, submitted by Darlene Heller, director of planning and zoning, also goes over routine maintenance, drainage problems and some long-sought improvements such as new traffic lights and road alignments.
More on that later.
Bethlehem City Council will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1 in Town Hall, the building between City Hall and the Bethlehem Area Public Library.
The agenda and a link to a webcast are available on the city website. Agendas are subject to change.
