Northampton County Deputy Director Waylen to Take a Job in Private Sector

Northampton County’s Deputy Director of Administration and Public Information Officer Brittney Waylen is leaving for a new job.

Waylen’s last day with the county will be Wednesday, Oct. 2.

“Brittney expertly helped us through election tumult, torrential rains with dangerous flash flooding, and train derailments,” Northampton County Executive Lamont G. McClure said in a statement.

“Her calm demeanor and commitment to professionalism, even during the most demanding times, was an inestimable service to the people of Northampton County.”

McClure said Weylan will be working in the private sector. Before working for the county, she worked for the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
