Miller-Keystone Blood Center CEO Castagna to Retire, Nemeh to Replace Him Effective January 1

Peter Castagna will retire as president and chief executive of Hospital Central Services and its Miller-Keystone Blood Center affiliate, Allentown-based HSC announced on its website.

Rami Nemeh, vice president and chief operating officer of Miller-Keystone, will succeed Castagna on Jan. 1.

Castagna told the organization’s board of directors earlier this year that he would retire after 11 years of leading HSC, according to a press release.

Hospital Central Services operates a linen business for healthcare institutions. Miller-Keystone accepts blood and plasma donations and operates a blood laboratory.

Nemeh immigrated to the United States 26 years according, according to an HSC press release, and started at Miller-Keystone as a lab technician. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and a Pathologist Assistant degree from the University of Aleppo in Syria.
