— Jeff Ward, Lehigh Valley News Briefs
Some local people claim wishfully that the warehouse era is winding down.
Nonsense. Maybe cynical misinformation, maybe wishful thinking, but it’s nonsense.
The City of Bethlehem’s Planning Commission will review plans for two more warehouses Thursday, in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII.
The buildings would go up on old Bethlehem Steel land across from the Wawa on Route 412 near Hellertown. This land has been used for industrial and commercial uses and is close to the Route 78 intersection.
The plan is for a 216,000-square-foot warehouse with 32 loading docks, and a 101,000-square-foot with 27 loading docks.
The address is listed as 2141 Commerce Center Blvd.
The City of Bethlehem Planning Commission will meet at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, in Town Hall. The meeting is open to the public and will be available on a webcast.
