Pennsylvania American Water Receives State Loans to Improve Water System in Exeter, Berks County

American Water said it has received $7.9 million in low-interest Pennsylvania financing for water projects in Pittsburgh and in Exeter, Berks County.

In Exeter, the wastewater-collection system will be repaired, the water company said.

The loan for work in Exeter accounts for $2.1 million of the total.

American Water (NYSE:AWK) said in a statement that it is the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S.

At 10:48 a.m., shares in the company were trading at $140.97.
