Wind Creek Hospitality, owner of the casino in Bethlehem, has agreed to acquire gambling properties in its home state of Alabama.
Wind Creek said it will acquire Birmingham Racecourse and Casino, and Victoryland Casino. The price was not disclosed. The deal will be done by early 2025, according to a Wind Creek statement.
Wind Creek, based in Atmore, Alabama, is owned by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, the only federally recognized Indian Tribe in the state of Alabama.
In addition to Wind Creek Bethlehem, the company manages Wind Creek Aruba, Wind Creek Atmore, Wind Creek Chicago Southland, Wind Creek Curacao, Wind Creek Montgomery, Wind Creek Wetumpka, Casinoverse, Magic City Casino in Florida, and horse-racing tracks in Alabama and Florida.
