Jan. 10. 2025

District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan announced rape and related charges have been filed against a current Allentown Police officer and a former Allentown Police Vice Officer.

Evan Weaver, DOB 3/18/1979, of Weisenberg and Jason Michael Krasley, DOB 2/11/1977, of Upper Milford Township, are both charged with Involuntary Sexual Servitude and Rape, both felonies of the first degree; and misdemeanor charges of Indecent Assault, Official Oppression and Prostitution and Related Offenses.

Krasley, a former Allentown Police Vice Officer, is also charged with Kidnapping, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse and Intimidation of a Witness, all felonies of the first degree as well as a misdemeanor charge of Criminal Coercion.

Both Weaver and Krasley are in custody awaiting arraignment at the Lehigh County Central Booking Center.

This investigation remains ongoing.

Krasley was charged Nov. 15, 2024 on charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition of Receiving Stolen property – over $2,000, both felonies of the third degree and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, a misdemeanor of the second degree. He remains free on $100,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 1:45 p.m. on Jan. 29.

The criminal complaints for both Weaver and Krasley are sealed and will not be released.

The investigation was conducted by Lehigh County Detectives.

The offenses took place between 2011 and 2015. Both men are charged with raping and sexually assaulting the same victim. The statute of limitations for these charges is 20 years.

If convicted of charges of Rape and Involuntary Sexual Servitude, both Weaver and Krasley face a possible maximum sentence of life in prison.

As in every criminal case; the fact that arrests have occurred or complaints have been filed are merely accusations; and the defendants, Evan Weaver and Jason Michael Krasley, are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
