JPMorgan Chase, the big bank that is opening branches while others close them, plans a new office at the intersection of Route 222 and Lower Macungie Road.
The Trexlertown branch will be at the southwest corner of the two roads. The information comes from a legal notice. No exact address was given, but the location is in on near the Trexler Mall.
National banks have to file with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency before opening or closing branches.
More details of the plan and an option for public comment will be available later at www.occ.gov. As of Friday, I could not find the Chase application on the website, but JPMorgan said the application was filed “on or about Jan. 23.”
JPMorgan (NYSE:JPM) is one of America’s Big Four banks, also including Citigroup, Wells Fargo and Bank of America.
