The Taste of Pottsville is now available across the Land of Lincoln.
D.G. Yuengling & Son, aka America’s Oldest Brewery, is now selling draft beer in Illinois.
The Schuylkill County brewery’s Lager, Porter and other brands will be available in cans and bottles in March, according to a company statement.
Yuengling started in 1829. Its Pottsville brewery is at Fifth and Mahantongo streets. During Prohibition, the company made low-alcohol “near beer.” Yuengling has another brewery near Pottsville, and another in Tampa, Florida.
The company is family owned.
