Alsco Uniforms is expanding in Pennsylvania and New Jersey with the acquisition of MacIntosh Services.
Also, based in Salt Lake City, did not disclose the price paid for MacIntosh and its Bethlehem facility.
MacIntosh Linen and Uniform Services will operate under the Alsco Uniforms brand. The laundry companies serve industrial, healthcare and other industries.
MacIntosh was established in 1919, according to the Alsco statement. It operated under the Mary MacIntosh name out of Allentown, providing clean linen for colleges and other customers. James J. Rodgers Sr. became president and CEO of the company in 1989, and in 1994, he acquired the business from the MacIntosh family.
Alsco Uniforms has more than 80 facilities in North America, providing uniforms, linens, floor mats, mops, and first aid and restroom supplies.
