PPL to Hold Annual Meeting of Shareholders on May 16

PPL Inc., the Allentown-based utility, will hold its annual meeting of shareholders on May 16.

The company said in a statement that the meeting will be held online at 9 a.m.

PPL (NYSE:PPL) has drawn interest from investors as a potential “AI play” because Artificial Intelligence and data centers require immense amounts of electricity. PPL has already announced a data-center client in its Kentucky service area.

PPL provides energy in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Kentucky.

Shares in PPL were trading at $33.85 at 9:52 a.m. Tuesday. At that price, the company has a market capitalization of about $25 billion.
