The Colonial Regional Police Department is looking into a report of a man impersonating an officer in Hanover Township.
Police said that on Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., “a white male with salt and pepper hair and a short beard” driving a Ford 150 or 250 impersonated an officer. This happened in the area of Jacksonville Road and Claire Street.
The vehicle had red and blue lights in the front grille.
The department asks anyone who may have information about the incident or video to contact Detective Templeton at 610-861-4820 or at temple@colonialregionalpd.org.
The department advises anyone who suspects that the person they are dealing may not be real officer to contact Northampton County Dispatch at 610-759-2200 to verify the identity.
