A pillar at the Stefko Boulevard Shopping Center (home of Gerrity’s Fresh Grocer) was partly collapsed on Thursday afternoon, drawing Bethlehem police and firefighters.
Unfortunately I didn’t find out what caused the collapse. Perhaps somebody drove into it. A small area of the shopping center in front of the gym had police tape up to keep people out, but businesses remained open.
The shopping center at 1880 Stefko Blvd. covers about 134,000 square feet total, according to Regency Centers (NASDAQ:REG). Regency is a real estate investment trust (REIT).
Regency is based in Jacksonville, Florida, and operates 482 shopping centers, according to its web page.
