Bethlehem Township’s Zoning Hearing Board has a big agenda for March 26, including appeals for a multi-family home and junk yard at a property near the Lehigh River, and a Christian School on Green Pond Road.

Two of the appeals are for the same property, 4011 Wilson Ave. The owner, Steven J. Inc. according to the meeting agenda, is appealing a decision against putting up a multi-family home in place of one that burned down in 2022.

Wilson Avenue is on the southern edge of the township, across the Lehigh River from the site of the Freemansburg Hill Climb. Wilson Avenue is accessible via Farmersville and Sculac roads.

Steven J. Inc. is appealing the zoning the zoning administrator’s decision that a multi-family dwelling is not permitted in the Conservation and Recreation zoning district.

Ownership is also appealing a November notice of violation related to a junkyard on the Wilson Avenue property.

The township has cited issues at the problem earlier, and in 2022 the township and owner Steven Miga reached an agreement that included inspections and the removal of some vehicles from the property.

At 5575 Green Pond Road, the Bethlehem Christian School seeks an exception to use a structure at that address as an officer before “formal approval of the applicant’s forthcoming land development plan for the construction of a school at the subject property.”

The Bethlehem Township Zoning Hearing Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 at the municipal building, 4225 Easton Ave.

The zoning board will also meet March 19 to discuss the proposal for an a fourth story at an apartment development planned for the southeast corner of Easton Avenue and Farmersville Road.

Agendas are subject to change. Check the township website before the meeting.
