Former U.S. Representative Susan Wild (D-Lehigh Valley) has offered to coach the next Democrat who runs for her old job, with certain conditions, according to Bernie O’Hare’s Lehigh Valley Ramblings.
Wild first ran for what was left of Republican Charlie Dent‘s term in 2018 when Dent took a media job. She ran in two elections that day and also won a full two-year term in the House. She won two more terms before losing in November to Republican Ryan Mackenzie.
Northampton County Executive Lamont G. McClure has already announced his candidacy for the 2026 race. Wild does not support McClure, according to today’s LVB post.
