Bethlehem City Council to Consider Permit for Wine Festival, Zoning Change for Garrison Street at Meeting Tuesday

— Jeff Ward, Lehigh Valley News Briefs

Bethlehem City Council will discuss a permit for a Christmas City Wine Festival, and for a zoning change to allow apartments to be built on West Garrison Street.

The Christmas City Wine Festival is planned for May at the Earl E. Schaffer Ice Rink at 345 Illick’s Mill Road. The applicant is identified as the Star of Bethlehem Festival. See this link for details.

Among the participants listed are Clever Girl Winery, The Colony Meadery, Grovedale Winery, Stone Farm Cellars & Vineyard, and Stone Lake Winery.

City Council will also review a zoning change that would clear the way for 70 apartments at 11-15 West Garrison St., a property that also has frontage on North New Street.

Some residents have objected to the plan.https://www.bethlehem-pa.gov/Calendar/Meetings/2025/City-Council-Meetings/375

Bethlehem City Council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in Town Hall. Here is the agenda and a link to the city’s YouTube channel, which will broadcast the meeting.

Meeting agendas are subject to change.
