Bethlehem City Council to Review TacoFest, Rose Garden Farmers Market Permits, and Yes, SALDO!

May 6, 2025

— Jeff Ward, Lehigh Valley News Briefs

Bethlehem City Council will review permit requests for TacoFest and Rose Garden Farmers Market at its meeting tonight.

TacoFest is an ArtsQuest presentation, to be held June 1, according to City Council’s agenda item. The name is self-explanatory, right? A user permit is required because TacoFest will occupy some public property.

The Rose Garden Farmers Market will be open Saturdays at 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. starting June 7 through Oct. 11. There will also be a RoseFest Pop Up Event on Saturday, June 21.

The Rose Garden is one of the gems of West Bethlehem.

Also on the agenda is a note about an updated Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, those rules for building that go by the amiable name of SALDO.

It sounds boring, but SALDO is very important in guiding development.

Here is the agenda, and here is a list of links to the various items.

Bethlehem City Council will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, in Town Hall. A link to a webcast of the meeting is at the top of the agenda.

Agendas are subject to change. Anybody who plans to go to hear about a specific issue should check it before leaving.

Anybody who wants to just go and spout off about anything under the sun, well you don’t care, do you?
