Two “persons of interest” are in custody today after a shooting around 8:30 a.m. near William Allen High School in Allentown.
District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan and Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca said the shooting was in the 200 block of North 18th Street. A woman was shot in the leg, according to their joint statement.
Both people in custody are adults. They were not identified in the press release from Holihan and Roca.

District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan and Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca announce details
surrounding the shooting that occurred this morning in the 200 block of North 18th street in
Allentown.
Two individuals have been identified as persons of interest and are currently in custody as the
investigation continues. Both individuals are adults.
Shortly after 8:30 a.m. this morning the Allentown Police were called to the 200 block of North
18th Street for a report of shots fired.
Officers arrived and found a woman victim with a gunshot wound to her leg. She was provided
with immediate medical care.
The immediate response of the Allentown Police Department included School Resource Officers
from William Allen High School, the Youth Division, the First Platoon, and the Criminal
Investigation Division.
Working together, they were able to identify and detain one person of interest within minutes of
the 911 call.
A second person of interest was identified and detained withing two hours of the 911 call. No
additional suspects are being sought at this time.
A search warrant was obtained within a few hours for a residence connected to one of the
persons of interest.
The case is being investigated by Allentown Police Detective Theodore Kiskeravage Joshua
Faust and will be prosecuted by Chief of Prosecutions Patricia Fuentes Mulqueen and Chief
Deputy District Attorney Bethany Zampogna of the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.
