The former LA Fitness location on 25th Street in Wilson borough has been sold for $6 million, according to Northampton County property records. That works out to about $2.2 million per acre.
LA Fitness closed in early 2024. The 340 S. 25th St. property is next to a former Kmart and the old Dixie Cup plant, which a developer plans to convert into about 400 apartments.
The buyer is Wilson Newlife District LLC, according to county records. The new owner’s address is listed at the MetLife Building in New York City.
The property covers 2.7 acres and is across the street from Easton Area High School. Based on the $6 million reported price, that property is valued at about $2.2 million per acre.

Developers buy these places and get 10 years tax free then after 8 years of doing nothing sell it to the next one who also gets tax free. And our politicians and school board never learn. Meanwhile you and I pay their taxes.
