Allegiant, the discount airline that takes Lehigh Valley residents to the Sunbelt, carried more than 2 million people in July.
The Las Vegas-based airline’s preliminary figures say Allegiant carried 2.02 million passengers nationwide last month, up from 1.9 million in July 2024. Allegiant paid an average of $2.58 per gallon of fuel in the month.

Allegiant was founded in 1999. It takes Lehigh Valley vacationers to South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee and Denver.
Shares in Allegiant (NASDAQ:ALGT) traded at $61.02 at 9:31 a.m. today (Aug. 29) giving the airline a market capitalization of $1.14 billion.
