The Vero at Bethlehem, a home for senior citizens, has been sold for $35.96 million to California-based Sabra Health Care REIT, a publicly traded real estate investment trust.

Northampton County records say the sale of the 4700 Bath Pike (Route 512), Hanover Township, property was recorded Sept. 4.

“The Vero at Bethlehem offers two types of senior living in Bethlehem, PA: personal care and memory care,” according to the home’s website.

The Vero was built in 2023, according to county records, and has 102,172 square feet of indoor space. The 4700 Bath Pike property covers 8.8 acres.

The Vero is on the east side of Route 512 in Hanover Township, Northampton County.

Sabra Health Care (NASDAQ:SBRA) says on its website: ” … we own and invest in real estate serving the healthcare industry throughout the United States and Canada, including skilled nursing, senior housing and behavioral health facilities.”

A real estate investment trust, or REIT, provides investors a chance to invest in real estate without managing the property.

The closing price of Sabra shares on Monday was $19.19, giving the company a market capitalization of $4.6 billion. Sabra’s corporate office is in Tustin, California, which is south of Los Angeles and Anaheim.

Legend Senior Living manages the Vero and other nursing homes, including Legend of Allentown in Macungie.
