Air Products, the Lehigh County-based maker of industrial gases, has cut 14 jobs, according to Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor and Industry.
A WARN Notice posted by the state described the cuts as layoffs at 7331 William Ave. in Upper Macungie Township.
Air products employs more than 20,000 people worldwide. It is based in Upper Macungie.
Shares of Air Products (NYSE:APD) traded at $290.04 at 11:06 a.m. Wednesday.
WARN Notices are a federal requirement to notify communities and workers of some job cuts.
In some cases, WARN Notices are issued when a company changes contractors even if most people remain employed. That happens when a college changes food services, for example.
