The Easton Area School District board has moved its Sept. 30 meeting to a school, allowing for a larger crowd.
No reason is given, but the district might be anticipating a big crowd in view of employee Kelly Keegan’s comments on social media after the death of Charlie Kirk. Keegan is a nurse for the school district.
About 15 people spoke about her remarks at the last Northampton County Council meeting. Keegan is a county commissioner. Toward the end of that meeting, Keegan said remarks my fellow commissioner Jeff Warren made her want to be a “better person” and better commissioner.
The county had extra security at that meeting.
The school board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Easton Area Middle School auditorium, 1010 Echo Trail, Forks Township. The board has met there before when crowds were expected. The meeting room at the Easton Area Education Center can only hold a few dozen people.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of School Directors of the Easton Area School Board is changing the location of its September 30, 2025, Regular Board Meeting from the Easton Area Education Center to the Easton Area Middle School Auditorium, 1010 Echo Trail, Easton, PA, 18040. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. All must enter through the auditorium entrance. No bags or purses will be permitted. You must be an Easton Resident to be permitted to make a public comment. Public comment on non-agenda items will be held at the end of the meeting.
