Bethlehem Housing Authority to Open Waiting List for 2-, 3-Bedroom Units in Family Developments

The Bethlehem Housing Authority will open its waiting list for two- and three-bedroom units in family developments for three days, starting Oct. 20.

People who are living or working in Bethlehem are eligible to apply to be on the waiting list for subsidized housing. Work training programs can also satisfy the eligibility requirement.

“Working requirement: Working or attending a Work Training Program in Bethlehem 20 hours or more per week, you must provide a letter from the employer verifying local employment and current paystubs, or a letter from a local school/agency where you are attending a work ready/training program,” according to the BHA.

“Applications will be accepted ONLINE ONLY, starting Monday, October 20, 2025, at 8:00AM
through Wednesday, October 22, 2025, ending at 8:00AM,” according to the BHA statement, which is available in English and Spanish.

Application to join the wait list can be made from Oct. 20. Application does not guarantee being added to the list, and income limits must be met.

The Bethlehem Housing Authority (BHA) has the following announcement:
The Public Housing Program will open its waiting list for the 2- and 3-bedroom units in the
Family Developments by “Date and Time of Application Received” (First-Come, First-Served
Basis).
Applications will be accepted ONLINE ONLY, starting Monday, October 20, 2025, at 8:00AM
through Wednesday, October 22, 2025, ending at 8:00AM.
Submission of an application does not guarantee placement on any waiting lists. We will not accept duplicate or incomplete applications. BHA will not distribute or accept paper, faxed, mailed or in-person applications.
Reasonable accommodation — BHA will provide reasonable accommodation to ensure the application process is accessible to applicants who may have disabilities and cannot comply with the normal application process. Eligibility to apply: Bethlehem resident or working in Bethlehem (see working requirement under # 2). All applicants must provide documentation to verify eligibility at the time of notification when close to the top of the waitlist. We will not accept altered documents.
Residency and Work-Related Information

  1. Residency information — If you live in Bethlehem, you must provide a current lease. If you don’t have a lease, please have your Property Owner fill out the Residence Verification Form. You must also provide documents with the current address: utility bills and picture ID (either driver’s license or state ID). All documents must have the same address.
  2. Working requirement — Working or attending a Work Training Program in Bethlehem 20 hours or more per week, you must provide a letter from the employer verifying local employment and current paystubs, or a letter from a local school/agency where you are attending a work ready/training program.
  3. You must not exceed the 2025 HUD income limits listed below:
