A Bethlehem Area School District van was involved in what appears to be a minor accident this morning on Butztown Road in the city.

Police and a tow truck were at the scene at 8:15 a.m. There was some debris in the street, and a family was unloading a car before it was to be towed away.

An ambulance took the place of the tow truck, after a passenger car was removed.

After the tow truck took a passenger car away, an ambulance showed up.

The accident probably happened around 7:45 a.m.

There was some debris on the ground at the scene in the 1300 block of Butztown Road, and the school district van had some minor damage. The accident scene is near Governor Wolf Elementary and Spring Garden elementary schools, and about a mile from East Hills Middle School and Freedom High School.

No students were at the scene, and I don’t know if any were on the van before the accident.
