Allegiant, the discount airline that takes Lehigh Valley residents to warmer locations, carried 983,840 passengers on its scheduled routes in September.
That’s up 1.4% from September 2024, when the Las Vegas-based airline served 969,844 passengers. The numbers are for all scheduled Allegiant flights and are not broken down by airport.
The airline carried 4,572,081 passengers on scheduled flights in the third quarter, up 9% from the same period in 2024.
Allegiant carries local travelers from Lehigh Valley International Airport to South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee and Denver.
The airline specializes in non-stop flights with round trips that can be completed in one day.
Shares in Allegiant (NASDAQ:ALGT) traded at $66.00 at 9:53 a.m., up $1.21 from Thursday. At that price, the airline has a market capitalization of $1.21 billion.
