An Allentown man faces multiple charges involving sexual assault of a five-year-old.
The suspect is Christian Tavares, age 25, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan and Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca.
Tavares is free on $50,000 unsecured bail, meaning no money up front.
The male who claims to be a victim of Tavares came forward “years after the fact” according to the statement.
The statement from Holihan and Roca noted that the suspect is considered innocent until and unless proven guilty.
Tavares faces a preliminary hearing Nov. 18.
