The former Mountainview Moravian Church in Hellertown has been sold to the Lehigh Valley Brazilian Church.
Northampton County records say the sale of 331 Constitution Ave. was for $510,000, recorded Jan. 22.
Mountainview Moravian held its final service in 2024, according to a website of Moravian Elders news:
“Due to declining membership and in accordance with Paragraph 1019 of The Book of Order, Mountainview Moravian Church, Hellertown, PA had its final service of worship and thanksgiving on November 24, 2024,” the website says. The Book of Order is the governing document of the church.
Mountainview’s own final post on its website advises all “to be blessed and be a blessing.” Mountainview Moravian served the community for 73 years.
Bom Pastor Lehigh Valley Moravian Church is at 114 W. Morton St. in south Bethlehem.
