Change Comes to Gracedale: Lehigh Valley Ramblings Reports

Northampton County Executive Tara Zrinski is looking at potential changes at Gracedale, the county nursing home, according to the Lehigh Valley Ramblings blog.

Zrinski is looking at finances, quality of care and making Gracedale an attractive option for residents and their families, according to the blog post.

Among problems are two “elopements.” That does not mean residents ran off to get married. It just means that somebody who wasn’t supposed to get out left Gracedale.

The issue of the Upper Nazareth Township home came up Thursday at County Council’s meeting. Here’s a link to the video of that meeting, with the Gracedale discussion starting around 38:00. Zrinski and Director of Human Services Susan Wandalowski discuss the county home.
