If you need a portable restroom, Bethlehem Township has one to spare. See below.
Bethlehem Township may also be preparing to bring on a new township manager.
Doug Bruce said in December that he planned to retire from that post on May 1 after eight years. Bruce has set an example of quiet, prudent and fiscally responsible management. He has also acknowledged the big issue for many municipalities: revenue is not keeping up with expenses.
The Board of Commissioners will meet Monday and the agenda includes:
A motion approving a screening capabilities proposal from Intercounty Solutions, Inc. to conduct a background investigation on a candidate for township manager.
Intercounty Solutions is a Lansdale, Montgomery County-based that seeks to ensure job candidates “are free of character and ethical issues.”
I’m glad they’re not looking at me. Is anybody entirely free of character and ethical issues? Well, maybe I am, but not many others.
The board will also consider an auction of township equipment via Municibid, sort of an eBay for government.
Here is the list of items that may be sold:
2016 Ferris IS 700Z 52” Cut 28 HP Commercial B/S 143 hrs.
2006 ExMark Phazer 36” Cut 19 HP Kawasaki FH530V 244 hrs.
