The former Rite Aid in Nazareth has been sold for $1.25 million.
Northampton County property recorded the sale effective Feb. 20.
The buyer is Nazareth Commercial Group, and the seller was Rite Aid Pennsylvania. I didn’t find anything on the Nazareth borough website indicating a proposed use for the 102 Nazareth Road property.
The Nazareth site covers 1.14 acres, with a 9,916-square-foot building.
Rite Aid sought bankruptcy protection in 2023 and again in 2025. The pharmacy chain closed all its stores last year, facing pressure from CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, other drug providers and online services.
The former drugstores are finding new uses. St. Luke’s University Health Network bought the one in Hellertown and will use it for medical offices.
