Bethlehem Township’s Planning Commission will review a plan for 41 homes on Bethman Road at its March 23 meeting.
The farmhouse on the property will be converted into a clubhouse if the plan moves forward.
The commission will also consider an ice cream parlor at the former Lafayette Ambassador bank on Easton Avenue and Santee Road. That’s the busy corner near the Keystone Pub.
Here’s a note on the township website about the Blue Sky Farms development on Bethman:
“The applicant proposes to construct 41 single-family homes on 11.33 acres at 4047 Bethman Road. An existing farm house on the property is proposed for conversion into a clubhouse for the community, along with other site improvements. The property is located in the Low Density Residential (LDR) Zoning District and will be served by public water and sewer.
The Board of Commissioners has a deadline of April 26, 2026 to act on this plan.”
The acreage is on the west side of Bethman, between Green Pond Road and Route 22. It was last sold in 2011 for $525,000, according to Northampton County property records.
If the development is built as planned, each home would occupy about a quarter acre.
The Planning Commission will also review an ice cream parlor proposed for 3301 Easton Ave., a former bank building that was recently sold for $750,000. The building is at the intersection of Easton Avenue and Santee Road, a route to Freedom High School, East Hills Middle School and Our Lady of Perpetual Help church and school.
