Allentown Man Headed to State Prison for Manslaughter

John Albert Garner, 27, of Allentown faces 10 to 20 years in state prison for manslaughter, according to a joint statement from Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan and Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca.

Garner pleaded guilty yesterday to voluntary manslaughter – unreasonable belief as part of a plea deal, according to a press release.

The victim in the July 2023 slaying was Alexander Mason Price, 31, of Allentown.

Judge James T. Anthony sentenced Garner to 10 to 20 years.

Garner attacked Price and caused his fatal injuries, according to the statement. Garner was arrested in October 2023 in Scranton.
