A Bethlehem man won’t have a chance of getting out of prison on parole unless he lives to be 99, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan.
Holihan said today that Ronald Haberstumpf, 79, was sentenced to 21 to 47 years in state prison today by Judge James T. Anthony. The victim was age 4 to age 8 while the crimes were committed, the press statement said.
Haberstumpf, born in 1947, was convicted of multiple charges including aggravated indecent sexual assault of a child, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old and corruption of minors, according to Holihan’s statement.
“The offenses happened between 2013 and 2017 at a home in Bethlehem (Lehigh County). The victim was between the ages of 4 and 8 at the time and was known to the defendant. During this time period, Haberstumpf repeatedly sexually assaulted the victim,” Holihan’s statement said.
