Site of Former Credit Union on Freemansburg Avenue in Bethlehem Township Sold for $550,000

**Corrects sale information**

— Jeff Ward, Lehigh Valley News Briefs

The old Heights Community Federal Credit Union property in Bethlehem Township has been sold for $550,000, according to Northampton County records.

County records say as of April 15 that KGN Tobacco sold the property to Allentown Federal Credit Union on March 28.

There was a plan to turn the old credit union into a convenience store. I don’t know whether that is proceeding.

The building is across Freemansburg Avenue from Geakers Tacos and about three blocks west of the Heights Market and Friendly Food Market. The lot covers about eight-tenths of an acre.

Freemansburg Avenue has attracted developer interest, as has William Penn Highway to the north.
