Fulton Bank Gets Federal Regulator’s Approval to Open Branch in Palmer

Fulton Bank has received federal approval to open a branch at 3011 William Penn Highway in Palmer Township.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has approved the new branch. The OCC regulates national banks.

The Fulton branch will be in a strip mall anchored by a Weis grocery store. The retail strip is at the intersection of South Greenwood Avenue and William Penn Highway, a few blocks west of 25th Street.

Fulton Bank is a subsidiary of Fulton Financial Corp. (NASDAQ:FULT), a Lancaster-based holding company. Fulton Bank operates in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia.

Shares of Fulton Financial traded at $15.25 at 4 p.m. on Monday.

    Now the question becomes, does Fulton close its office a few blocks away at William Penn and Stones Crossing?
