Bethlehem Township Land on Easton Avenue, Less Than One Acre, Up for Sale for $545,000

— Jeff Ward, Lehigh Valley News Briefs

A plot of land that covers less than an acre in Bethlehem Township is available for $545,000.

The lot at 4006 Easton Ave., just west of Bruno Scipioni’s Italian restaurant, isn’t large but it has a great location. It’s near office, commercial and apartment development.

Here’s what one ad has to say about the lot: “Permitted uses by right are places of worship, single-family homes, townhouses, group homes, and apartments. The ownership has already secured preliminary approvals for a +/- 5,600-square-foot office building on this land.”

The land is near Route 33 and Route 78. It is owned by a New Jersey resident, according to Northampton County records.

Easton Avenue and Freemansburg Road in Bethlehem Township have drawn investor interest, and as long as there is land available, or low-intensity uses that can be wiped out and built upon (such as the auto scrapyard at Easton Avenue and Farmersville Road, across from the blue grillhouse), development will continue.

Who is buying the land on Freemansburg Ave. across from The Birches, which is at 5030 Freemansburg Ave.? The for sale signs say “sale pending.”

That 2.3 acres was listed for $490,000, which seems low these days, depending on what it can be used for.
