Chrin V-7 Development Due for Bethlehem Township Review June 2

May 19, 2025

— Jeff Ward, Lehigh Valley News Briefs

Fore! The V-7 development is on its way.

Bethlehem Township will hold a public hearing June 2 to consider the Chrin V-7 plan for 264 apartments, according to a legal notice.

The developer plans to build at the southeast corner of the intersection of William Penn Highway and Route 33, the site of the former V-7 driving range, miniature golf course and restaurant.

If the plan for “garden” apartments in a dozen buildings goes ahead, it will be one of the largest developments in Bethlehem Township history. “Garden apartments” are in buildings of two or three stories, the definition varies.

The township has been targeted by developers of residential and commercial properties. A warehouse covering about 866,000 square feet will go up on Freemansburg Avenue, along the border with the Borough of Freemansburg.

At a public meeting in 2024, a township official said Bethlehem Township is about 90% developed.

Apartments are being built at the former Bethlehem Drive-In theater off Easton Avenue. Meanwhile, a plan for more than 100 homes off Farmersville Road remains on the books.

The township Board of Commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, at the municipal building, 4225 Easton Ave.

Agendas are subject to change. Check the township website closer to the meeting date.
