The Boondoggle continues, proudly not operating at 250 E. Broad St.

The Bethlehem Co-Op Boondoggle will meet Monday, and the public is invited.

The Boondoggle, which calls itself the Bethlehem Co-Op Market, is approaching its 15th year of non-existence. It has spent more than $3 million of taxpayers’ dollars, more than $4 million total, run up more than $1 million in debt, and still hasn’t opened the store at 250 E. Broad St.

No opening date has been set. Meanwhile, the Boondoggle keeps posting and re-posting public-spirited messages on social media, and jargon such as “systemic transformation” and “meaningful relationships” and “broad societal collaboration” to “break down silos.”

It’s a Potemkin Village effort, masking the fact that the Boondoggle is a multi-million dollar disaster.

Cut the crap. What it all means is, they want more of your money.

The Boondoggle’s monthly meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15 at Northampton Community College’s Fowler Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem, in Room 106.

The meeting will also be available online at bit.ly/489Ap0J).

I can’t attend, but I am trying to get somebody to tape it for me. I don’t want to miss Boondoggle babble.
