Lower Saucon Township’s Planning Commission will meet Wednesday to review a proposed auto-body repair garage on a one-acre lot on Route 378.
The Rosengrant Development, as the plan for 3667 Route 378 is called, calls for a 6,000-square-foot auto-body repair shop. The home and driveway on the property now will be removed, and an existing garage and billboard would remain.
The Lower Saucon Township Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, at the township municipal building. The meeting will also be shown on the township’s YouTube channel.
The Rosengrant Development is the only business item on the agenda. Agendas are subject to change; see the township website closer to the meeting.
Here’s a link to the website of the Planning Commission, and below, a cut-and-paste version of the gist of the plan (the entire agenda is 46 pages):
The Applicant proposes to construct a 6,000 s.f. auto body repair shop on an existing lot located at
3667 Route 378. The Applicant also proposes to construct a driveway entrance to replace an existing
driveway, parking lot, stormwater management facilities, and a dumpster pad. The Applicant states
the proposed auto body repair shop will be served by public water and sewer.
The existing lot is approximately 1.047 acres, and contains a dwelling, garage, driveway, and
billboard. The existing dwelling and driveway are proposed to be removed, and the existing 840 s.f.
garage and billboard are proposed to remain as part of this development.
The property is located within the within the General Business (GB) District and the Carbonate
Geology Overlay District. A motor vehicle repair shop may be permitted when authorized as a
conditional use by the Township Council, subject to the provisions of Chapter 180. A motor vehicle
repair shop requires site plan approval in accordance with Section 180-102.
