Bethlehem Township to Look Again at Convenience Store on Freemansburg Avenue Where Plan for Wawa Was Turned Down, and Offices for the Former Young’s Pharmacy

Bethlehem Township’s Planning Commission will review a convenience store proposed for Freemansburg Avenue, where the township rejected a plan for a Wawa earlier.

The May 26 agenda includes the presentation of a sketch plan for 4850 Freemansburg Ave., the intersection with Wagner Drive that is known as Harvey’s Corner.

The earlier plan for Wawa was for 4900 Freemansburg Ave.

Sketch plans are preliminary proposals placed before planning commissions for guidance. No votes are made on sketch plans.

The commission will also review a plan for an “office building” at 3708 Freemansburg Ave., the former Young’s Pharmacy. That property was purchased for use as a laboratory, but Deibel Labs chose another location.

The Bethlehem Township Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, in the meeting room at the township municipal building, 4225 Easton Ave.
