Slatington Man Convicted of Invasion of Privacy After Sex Video Found on His Phone

A 42-year-old Slatington man has been convicted in a jury trial of multiple charges related to threatening a woman with a sex video.

Jarrett Klinger will remain in Lehigh County Jail pending sentencing.

The video was taken without the woman’s knowledge or consent, according to a statement from Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan.

“Klinger’s sentencing and a hearing to determine if he meets the requirements for a sexually-violent predator is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 26, 2026 before Judge (James T.) Anthony,” according to Holihan’s statement.

Klinger was convicted of three counts of misdemeanor Invasion of Privacy, and one count each of Unlawful Dissemination of an Intimate Image and Harassment.

The woman, an Upper Saucon Township resident and a former girlfriend of Klinger’s, told Upper Saucon Township police in 2022 that Klinger sent her a video and was threatening to make videos public unless she agreed to meet with him, according to Holihan.

Police obtained a search warrant for his phone and found two intimate videos on it, the D.A.’s statement says.

District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan announces a Slatington man charged with Invasion of Privacy and related offenses has been convicted by a jury of all charges.

Jarrett Klinger, DOB 10/9/1983, was convicted by a jury of all charges including misdemeanor charges of three counts of Invasion of Privacy, and one count each of Unlawful Dissemination of an Intimate Image and Harassment.

The jury trial began May 18, 2026 before Judge James T. Anthony and concluded May 20, 2026.

Klinger will be required to register for 15 years under Pennsylvania’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act.

Klinger’s bail was revoked and he remains in Lehigh County Jail.

Klinger’s sentencing and a hearing to determine if he meets the requirements for a sexually violent predator is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 26, 2026 before Judge Anthony. The defendant could face a maximum sentence of 7 to 14 years in state prison.

Klinger was charged in two separate criminal cases involving the same victim, who is known to him.

On July 25, 2022, an Upper Saucon Township resident told police that Klinger, her ex-boyfriend, was harassing her.. The investigation revealed Klinger sent the victim a video of them engaging in sexual contact and threatened to release that and other videos if she didn’t meet with him or talk to him.

That threat prompted the victim to file a report with police.

During the course of that investigation, police obtained a search warrant for Klinger’s cell phone.

The device was analyzed by the Officer David M. Petzold Digital Forensics Laboratory of Lehigh County.

That device contained two videos showing Klinger and the woman engaging in sexual contact.

The woman told police the videos were made without her knowledge or consent.

This case was investigated by Upper Saucon Township Police Sgt. Dane Carroll and Sgt. Deron Dorward and was prosecuted by Senior Deputy District Attorney – Special Victims Unit Sarah K. Heimbach.
