Gerrity’s will hold a re-opening of its Bethlehem grocery store on Friday, with new products and a hot buffet.

The store at 1880 Stefko Blvd. has remained open during renovations. Gerrity’s The Fresh Grocer occupies the former Valley Farm Market space.

From Gerrity’s social media:

“Discover thousands of new products, scratch-made favorites in Bakery, Deli and Seafood, plus sushi, pizza, subs, a salad bar and a hot buffet!”

Scranton-based Gerrity’s was founded in 1895. It is a family-owned business with 10 locations in northeastern Pennsylvania.

I walked over to the store today, it’s just about done and looks good. The layout has changed a bit, perhaps to encourage customers to see more products.

I’m looking forward to the salad bar and buffet. The former store had many Amish products. I hope this store will introduce more of there products.

Some customers miss the packaged candy that Valley Farm carried.
They did manage to stay open during the renovations, which isn’t easy.
