Wind Gap Plaza, a shopping center anchored by a Giant grocery store, has been sold for $18.4 million.
Northampton County recorded the sale on July 7. The transaction includes two properties, 837 Male Road and 856 S. Broadway.
Wind Gap Plaza is just east of Route 33. In addition to Giant, Dollar Tree, Advanced Auto Parts and other retailers operate at the site.
The new owner, according to county records, is Highland Estate Developers on the north shore of Long Island, New York. The seller was Gustine Wind Gap Associates.
I’m not keeping records but this is probably the biggest land deal in the history of Wind Gap Borough. In this case, the transaction may be purely financial, an exchange of cash flows. The value in the shopping center is the location and leases.
