Bethlehem to Consider Plan to Put 11 Homes on a 2.24-Acre Lot Near the Lehigh River (Correct)

Bethlehem’s Zoning Hearing Board will review a plan to place 11 homes on a 2.24-acre property at an Aug. 26 meeting.

From the agenda: The applicant proposes to subdivide the property “to create a total of eleven (11) individual building lots along the frontage of Elliot Avenue and Mt. Airy Avenue, for the development of ten (10) single-family semi-detached dwellings and one (1) single-family detached dwelling.”

The would-be developer is a limited liability corporation named for Elliott Avenue. It seeks zoning relief to put up 11 homes based on the size of the lot. The LLC says the city approved a 24-unit development for the property in 2011, more than twice as many units as planned now.

The property is in the Lehigh County portion of Bethlehem, near the Lehigh River.

The Bethlehem Zoning Hearing Board will discuss this appeal and others at its meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at Town Hall.
