PM Residence, a senior- and memory-care home, is opening in downtown Bethlehem.
The residence occupies the site of the former Blough nursing home. Later, developer Abraham Atiyeh and others proposed a STEAM charter school for the 310-316 E. Market St. property but that plan never worked out.
Exchange 15, a limited liability corporation controlled by Atiyeh, sold the 1.25-acre property to 310 Management Group, an LLC based in Allentown, for $1.9 million. Northampton County recorded the sale Aug. 18.
Exchange 15 bought the property in 2020 for $800,000.

“We specialize in supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-related conditions,” adding, “We provide guidance, resources, and peace of mind when care at home is no longer manageable.”
PM Residence has an office open at the Linden and Market streets building, just across the street from Cantelmi Funeral Home. The office is on the East Market Street side of the property.
The need for care for elderly people is booming, helping boost the healthcare industry’s portion of the economy.
